How much does it cost?​

Every home, its contents, and job requirements are unique; with an onsite inspection and detailed discussion, it is possible to answer. You will have a written quote with terms and conditions within 24 hours of the inspection.​

 

What should I sell and what should I donate?​

We can guide you through this during our initial discussion. We utilise reputable auction houses for selling most items and know what they will take.  The rest of the belongings will find new homes through multiple avenues at our disposal.​

 

What other services do you provide?​

We can organise anything from garden clean up, driveway steam cleans, styling and more. Let your imagination run wild; tell us what you want, and we can include it in the itemised quote; just pick the items you want from the quote to proceed.​

 

Why should I trust ClearSpace with our loved one’s possessions?​

We are the longest-established and continuously operating company providing this service in South Australia; established in 2005, we have seen almost everything.  We understand this is usually a difficult time for our clients, but we are here to listen and do our best to provide a respectful and professional service so you can concentrate on your memories.  ​

 

Do I need to be in the home during the clearance?​

There is no need for you to be in attendance, but you can choose to. Often it is better if you’re not because it can get emotional when items start to leave the home and you may start to have second thoughts and want to keep more than you should.

 

What happens with unwanted Items

All unwanted items in the home are sorted and distributed using the following priorities:

Sell – with all the proceeds paid directly into your nominated bank account.
Donate – we like to donate as many items as possible
Recycle – metal, x-rays, paper and cardboard, etc.
Hazardous materials – disposed of according to EPA laws
Waste – is taken to a transfer station
We can also arrange the secure shredding of critical, financial, identifying and personal paperwork.

 

What if I live interstate?

It doesn’t matter; we can still help. During Covid, many people couldn’t attend a property to be cleared, so with the use of video or Zoom calls, we were able to ‘meet them’, explain how we work, understand the scope of the work, timings, which items were wanted & unwanted and then complete the project.  We continue to use this process today.

Our process

The first stage, typically discussed over the phone, involves setting the scene, explaining any specifics, the project, and timing, and discussing your relationship with the homeowner.

Next, we will schedule a home visit to meet you in person, further uncover requirements, and within 24 hours, email you a written report and quote.​
